About
Launched in 1953, the same year that saw the introduction of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms and the Rolex Submariner, the Seawolf was a great success for the Swiss company. Setting it apart from its competitors, it was offered in a variety of interesting designs and colours.
We have previously discussed the incredible value of these vintage Seawolf models, given their compelling history, striking aesthetics, and purpose built, in-house movements. Today’s example features a sharp black dial and a grey-blue bakelite bezel, nicely showcasing that classic, highly attractive design.
We've paired it with a slick Grained Calf strap from Molequin in black to match the deep tones of the dial.

Overall condition:
Case appears to have had minor polishing but presents nicely, with thick lugs. Back is damage free (aside from storage marks) unlike many examples, as Hermetic cases will often have tool marks. Bezel with some wear, but strong paint, and rotates freely. New unsigned crown. New appropriate, thick acrylic dive crystal. Dial is damage free, but does have staining on tritium markers. Hands have been relumed.
