This Seawolf is a great example of the immense value one can find in the Zodiac vintage market, being a sub-$1500 diver with gorgeous styling, a fantastic Bakelite bezel, an interesting movement, and a rich history dating all the way back to the first dive watches.
Launched in 1953, the same year that saw the introduction of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms and the Rolex Submariner, the Seawolf was a great success for the Swiss company. Setting it apart from its competitors, it was offered in a variety of interesting designs and colours. This particular model, reference 702-946, was introduced in the 1960s and came with a light blue Bakelite bezel and a no-date movement with hacking function.
