I am excited to present this beautiful, rare, and stunning Imhof clock from the 1960s. This is a massive clock, measuring approximately 23cm (9") x 15.5cm (6 1/8") x 10.5cm (4") and weighing in at a little over 5kg (11 pounds). The case is made from a combination of gilt brass, gold plate, and faux tortoiseshell. It has a number of high quality touches: the thick, heavily bevelled crystal (in perfect condition), the heavy, fancy carrying handle, and the beautiful patterned dial with enamel cartouches displaying the hours.
The high quality Swiss 8-day movement has been completely serviced and runs eagerly, keeping excellent time, as well as chiming the hours and half hour correctly. It sounds as lovely as it looks.
Overall this a highly collectible and rare example of fine mid-century Swiss clockmaking.
