It's easy to see why the Universal Geneve Polerouter has become such a popular and sought after vintage watch. From the unmistakable mid-century design to the attractively proportioned case, this one is a pure delight.
This is a nice example, with a grey sunburst finish dial that changes hue depending on the light. The dial has some patina, particularly around the centre and edge, and most of the lume plots around the indices are gone. The hands still have their original tritium. The watch has its original oversize screw-down bullet crown as well as its original crystal with the unique trapezoidal date bubble to match the date window. The case, measuring 35mm in diameter, wears large for its size and retains a lot of its original finish. The numbers on the case back are clearly legible (often not the case on these models).
Inside is the famous Universal Geneve micro-rotor movement, the caliber 69. We have given the movement a light servicing, which includes any needed work to the movement as well as regulation, and it runs excellently.
