Available during a period when Tudor offered four different sized Submariners, the Mini-Sub (reference 73190) is a superbly interesting watch. At the time, it was marketed as a mens watch, as Tudor already offered a smaller 28mm Lady-Sub. At 33mm, today it would be a perfect fit for a smaller wrist, young collector, or female looking for a larger sporty fit.
All of the details that make the Tudor Submariner so desirable are present on the Mini-Sub, such as sturdy construction and a wonderfully elegant dial, here with luminous-filled applied markers and Mercedes hands. The polished steel bezel insert offered on Tudor models in the late 1990s (and re-introduced a few years ago on the Black Bay Steel) adds to the sporty but luxurious feel. And we've gone this long without mentioning it, but the salmon dial is striking, and really ties in the rest of the watch together.
