About

The Chronostop, Omega's "driving chronograph" from the late 1960s, is one of the more unique models the Swiss brand has sold. Featuring the caliber 865, a simplified hand-wound chronograph movement, the Chronostop is a 60 seconds stopwatch only. The single pusher works the start-stop-reset function. You activate with one press, then press again to stop and hold to read the seconds hand. Releasing the pusher will reset to zero.

While the Chronostop line comes in a number of different case styles, the “jumbo” 41mm one featured here is the most contemporary design wise. It's a great choice for anyone looking for a vintage chronograph in a modern size.

We've pared the watch with a smart Rally strap from Hirsch that emphasizes the racing spirit of the watch.

Movement was serviced by us in 2020. Works eagerly, keeping good time. Chronograph starts-stops-resets as it should. One year mechanical warranty included.

Overall Condition:
Nice, thick case in good condition, original brushed finish present, with minor marks of wear. Acyclic crystal is good. Dial is good, some missing lume plots, hands with nicely aged original lume and minor loss of paint on minute hand. Original signed crown.
