I just finished fully servicing this beautiful and unique L'Epee miniature carriage clock from the later half of the 20th Century (I would guess 1960's or 1970s ). This type of mechanical clock is quite rare: a single spring driven mechanism and lever escapement with two wheel trains powering two sets of hands. The attention to detail is simply marvellous on this little piece, from the finely electroplated brass to the blued steel spade hands and enamel dial. The bevelled crystal is perfect and the case nearly as well, with only a bit of tarnish to be found on top of the case.
The 8 day movement has been completely overhauled and runs eagerly, keeping excellent time on each clock. I will provide two new keys (not original), one for winding the mechanism, and the other for setting each time zone.
The clock measures approximately 7.3cm (3") x 6.6cm (2 1/2") x 4cm (1 1/2") with the hinged handle folded down.
