Up for sale is the smallest version of Imhof's various GMT models. This is a desk clock small enough to travel with in sensational style. I have seen other variations of the small sized Imhof GMT that are "standing" table clocks with a circular base like the midsize and largest models, but this one is meant to be placed flat on an office table or carried in a travel bag.
Like the other Imhof GMT clocks, it features a South Pole centred azimuthal equidistant map along with various cities corresponding to timezones around the world, printed on an inner rotating timezone disc which rotates once every 12 hours, and a middle 24 hour GMT ring which rotates once every 24 hours.
This clock has a handy feature where the second timezone can be set on the fly: the hands must first be set to midnight (24 hours), then the inner rotating timezone disc can be moved by the adjustment screw on the back of the clock. You would simply choose the correct city on the disc and then align it with the hour hand to set your desired timezone.
This model comes in gilt finished brass and is in spectacular condition, retaining almost all of its electroplated finish. We have serviced the high quality Imhof Caliber 544 movement and it runs very eagerly, keeping good time for the 8-day duration.
The clock measures approximately 8cm across and is around 5cm tall at its highest point when placed on a desk.
