The Fortis Cosmonauts Chronograph, the first watch to be officially sanctioned for use by the Russian Space Agency and consequently flown on MIR and ISS missions, is highly regarded by enthusiasts for both its historical pedigree as well as its superbly designed form and functionality. The very rare version we have today, a reference 644.27.142, is one of only 500 ever produced (it's numbered on the back) and probably the hardest model to find on the market.
Known for its robust case, so robust it was famously used by by a cosmonaut to hammer in a loose rivet in open space, the Cosmonauts Chronograph is also a fantastic looking watch. The dial is a marvel of smart design, relaying an insane amount of information while still remaining incredibly legible, partly due to the central chrono hand from the classic Lemania 5100 movement powering the watch. To increase legibility of the chonograph function, Fortis smartly used orange colouring to differentiate the chrono hands, with a gorgeous lollypop seconds hand and an arrow tipped minute hand.
Overall, a highly collectible and super rare piece of aerospace history.
