About
First produced in 1961 under a partnership between Swiss company Nevada SA and American manufacturer Croton Watch Co., the Chronomaster has exploded in popularity in recent years.
Croton updated the Chronomaster with the 106A in the early 1970s. The new square case added some funky visual appeal, while also making for a fantastic wear on the wrist with its tonneau contouring. Likewise the matte black dial (produced by Singer, also responsible for the Paul Newman Daytona dials) is both elegant and visually arresting, with lollipop markers on the registers (like the Rolex) and splashes of red with the chronograph seconds hand and a subdivision featuring a 5-minute countdown in the minute register.
We have paired the watch with a Molequin midnight black Saffiano leather strap with white stitching to compliment the reverse panda dial.
