We have previously featured a couple of “Devil Divers” in the shop, but this is our first Bulova chronograph with the infamous 666 feet depth rating. Like its time-only brethren, the Deep Sea offers tremendous bang for the buck.
Packaged in a classic skin-diver design, with wide, straight angled lugs, and a respectable 37.5mm diameter, the watch has a modern, sleek profile on the wrist. The rotating bezel has a 20 minute red zone (used by divers to assess decompression time) and a similarly bright chronograph seconds hand, with the idea being to enhance visibility while diving.
Beating inside is the Bulova Caliber 14EB, a modified, always reliable and robust Valjoux 7733. We love vintage tool watches here at the shop, so it’s always cool to see one made from top to bottom with functionality in mind.
We've paired this stylish diver with an elegant suede Rios strap in tan to make this a great choice whether worn in the sun or the office.

Movement has been inspected and keeps accurate time. Chronograph starts, stops, and resets smoothly. One year mechanical warranty included.

Overall condition:
Case in excellent condition, with minor marks of wear, strong bevels and little signs of polishing. Case back with strong engraving. Rotating bezel is very good, with minor signs of use and wear. Original, new old stock crystal installed (minor marks from storage). Unsigned crown is a replacement. Dial is fantastic, with a rich black colour, some patina around markers. Matching tritium lume on dial and hands.
