About
Released in 2019 in a limited edition batch of 182 pieces, the Zodiac Aerospace GMT is a reissue with heart. Paying close attention to what made the original Aerospace such a classic, the 2019 model gets the details right.
The dial features the deep black colouring, attractive cursive lettering and wide indices famous on the original, along with a baton red GMT hand that adds a splash of colour. The black/grey bezel is a fine compliment to the original, and is certainly the centrepiece of the entire affair.
The reissue also modernizes some features of the watch. The most obvious is the size, which at 40mm makes this a superbly wearable everyday piece. The crown is now screw-down, adding to water resistance. The crystal is scratch-proof sapphire, which while taking away from the original's warm acrylic tones, again makes the watch sturdier for everyday wear.
Overall a great looking, highly collectible and hard-to-find Zodiac.
