Up for sale is a stunning Rolex GMT Master II from 1991. Rolex started making the GMT II with their new, slimmer Caliber 3185 movements in 1988. Utilizing a slimmer design the GMT II became a tool watch you could wear on any occasion, tough enough to withstand punishment but dressy enough to fit under the cuff.
This one is a lovely example that will age even better. The dial is clean, the tritium markers and hands have a subtle hint of matching creamy patina, and the insert is damage free. I've replaced the sapphire crystal for a new one, as well as put in a new back gasket. The case has a few marks of wear and has been previously polished, but it still looks sharp. I've given the movement a light servicing, which includes any needed work to the movement as well as regulation. I've also pared the watch up with a khaki coloured NATO strap that I think compliments the vintage charm of the watch.
