Gübelin, the Swiss, family-owned firm known for its high-end jewellery and luxury watch brands, have produced some stunning watches over the years.
This Gubelin Ipso-Day, dating from around the mid 60s, is one such example. It features a lovely combination Gold cap case, a clean champagne dial, and a sophisticated ETA 2472 movement that was state-of-the-art at the time, with such features as an instantaneous date change and semi-quicks capability.
The case has minimal marks of wear and retains its sharp edges, and the brushed Stainless Steel case back is particularly attractive. The freshly serviced ETA 2472 movement keeps excellent time.
