About

First produced in 1961 under a partnership between Swiss company Nevada SA and American manufacturer Croton Watch Co., the Chronomaster has exploded in popularity in recent years.

Arguably one of the finest, most versatile tool chronographs from the 1960s, its complicated name (Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver) reflects a vast number of functions, from chronograph with tachymeter scale and a sailing regatta countdown, to 200m water resistance and a rotating dive bezel, and even a second time zone (on the bezel). Croton/Nivada pushed these features by advertising the watch to the “athletic-minded and the enterprising” and for “versatile” buyers who were “at the centre of events”.

Today's Chronomaster is a fantastic example of what gives this watch a killer wrist presence, with a classic sporty 38mm steel case and a striking reverse panda dial with complimenting splashes of red colour. Inside is a robust Valjoux 7733 movement, freshly serviced and ready for many more years of adventure.

We have pared the watch with a padded sailcloth strap to complement its adventurous roots.
