About

Today's vintage Hamilton is a very stylish early 70s chronograph. With a thick, rounded cushion case and flat rotating bezel, the watch has a great wrist presence. The combination of matte grey dial and oversized white registers, earning it the nickname "Big Eye" among collectors, is brilliant. A dash of colour completes the exciting look, with white lume-filled hands and a red outer minute track, register numbers, and chrono seconds hand.

Overall a fantastic looking piece, and a great addition to any collection looking for a fun, sturdy vintage chronograph. We have paired the watch with a Molequin grained calf strap in a whiskey tan colour.

Molequin Grained Calf leather strap in whiskey tan, quick release spring bars (MSRP: €105.00)
Overall condition:
Case is good, showing signs of honest wear, but retaining its thick shape and original bevels. Flat rotating bezel has some marks, is slightly loose, still has its original deep black colour, while tritium pip is gone. Original signed crown and asymmetrical pushers with wear and marks. New appropriate acrylic divers crystal. Matte grey dial is superb, with original sunburst finish and guilloche patterned registers, some minor marks, particularly around the hour indicators. Original white painted hands and red chrono seconds hand. The hour/minute hands have some loss of paint and have been relumed.
