We have featured this model in the shop before, and it is still one of my favourites from the esteemed Swiss clockmaker. The combination of solid gilt brass, brown faux tortoiseshell, and thick bevelled crystal give it a very regal appearance. A heavy folding handle allows for easy carrying, while the rear door provides access for winding and setting. In the front, gilt decoration and a patterned dial with enamel cartouches displaying the hours complete the impressive look.
One of the largest clocks out of the Imhof catalogue, the case measures approximately 23cm (9") x 15.5cm (6 1/8") x 10.5cm (4") and weighs a little over 5kg (11 pounds).
The high quality Swiss 8-day movement has been freshly serviced and runs eagerly, keeping excellent time, as well as chiming the hours and half hour correctly.
Overall a fantastic, highly collectible clock that will add a touch of class to any room or office.
